Position Summary

Delivers visual expertise
across print, web, and social media projects. Provides the conceptualization, design, and execution of creative solutions and websites that
effectively convey and elevate the identity and marketing goals of Morehouse School of Medicine and Morehouse Healthcare across various
brand touchpoints, including print, social media, marketing collateral, and internal communications. Photography skills are advantageous.
Photography experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with graphic design team under the direction
    of the AVP, Brand and Creative Services to produce inventive, thoughtful, on-brand concepts and solutions across
    an array of media including print, digital, environmental, out-of-home, and more.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and
    meet/exceed deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing brand standards and implementing visual
    hierarchy, applicable to print, web, and environmental mediums.
  • Reflect on the aesthetics of brand deliverables by considering color
    and typography; ensure all work aligns with the brand guidelines and visual identity of the institution.
  • Create graphic and media
    essentials using Adobe Creative Suite and other media applications.
  • Manage design work for all aspects of print and digital
    production.
  • Work closely with other departments and manage creative deliverables.
  • Coordinate with copywriters, to develop
    site graphics, icons, banners, enhancements, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and
    deliver creative solutions that meet the needs and objectives of the institution.
  • Programming in HTML,
    CSS, JavaScript, Word Press, etc. (Developer preference)
  • Ensure website(s) are user-friendly and
    interactive.
  • Working knowledge of web browsers, multiple OS platforms and site maintenance, as well as mobile
    compatibility.
  • Plan site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality.
  • Remain informed about industry trends and best
    practices to ensure that we continue to lead and push creative boundaries.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years
    design (print and digital) experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic arts, digital composition, fine arts or another related
    field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, HTML 5, CMS
    platforms, PMS and other relevant software.
  • Proven success in project management and client relationship
    management
  • Creative thinker, extremely analytical, collaborative, resourceful, proven project management and client relationship
    management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5
    years design (print and digital) experience, preferably in healthcare or academic sector.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of
    design projects, including photography work.
