In this context, we are looking for competent and passionate professionals for a Senior Corrosion Engineer M/F.
This position is located OFFSHORE in NIGERIA on AMENAM in ROTATIONAL MODE 8×3 (8 weeks on site / 3 weeks at home). Based in the camp in Port Harcourt.
Job Description:
- Prepare, review, and implement Corrosion & Prevention management philosophy.
- Schedule and execute Corrosion Surveys and Studies and recommend the necessary remedial actions
- Ensure that corrosion-monitoring operations are correctly performed as per TOTALENERGIES E&P specifications and best practice
- Validate scope of works.
- Review Corrosion-Monitoring and Inspection results regularly and assess together in view of providing a global evaluation of Integrity
- Liaise with TOTALENERGIES Headquarters for corrosion matters with the aim of improving the physical integrity of Production Facilities
- Investigate and analyze Facility malfunctions from the standpoint of Corrosion Evolutions and, in liaison with the Inspection Teams Onshore and Offshore, propose solutions to repair the equipment and prevent repetitions of the corrosion issues.
- Supervise the CP inspector to ensure Cathodic Protection systems are effective and optimally maintained
- Supervise the Investigation and analysis of Cathodic Protection results. Report any anomalies and propose solutions to prevent them.
- From injection rates and results from bubble testing and coupons, define/modify pipeline cleaning programs and chemical injection rates in conjunction with production chemistry.
- Provide technical recommendations for planned and Adhoc inspection reports for all corrosion related inspection findings
- Follow up all corrosion related concerns in processes such as SMR.
- Investigate LOPCs and implement the results to ensure a reduction in their trends along all sites.
We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills:
- A qualification in Corrosion Engineering (MSc or NACE Snr Corrosion Technologist or Equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Corrosion Engineer’s functions (internal and external corrosion), preferably in E&P.
