Salary: $16.85 to $18.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 34 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: 1000 Airport Parkway Private, Ottawa, ON K1V 9B4
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: The candidates should have own transport, valid driver’s licence, also public transportation is available
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: The candidates should have clear criminal and airport security records
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client focus, dependable, flexible, organized, reliable, should have excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive and operate ramp-servicing vehicles and equipment, position passenger loading stairs and operate aircraft cargo doors
- The candidates should be able to Marshall or tow aircraft to gate positions, sort and load cargo and passenger baggage according to instructions, unload, sort and route cargo and passenger baggage
- The candidates should be able to transport freight between aircraft and airport warehouse
- The candidates should be able to clean and prepare aircraft interior for passengers and wash aircraft exterior
