Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a diploma in a relevant discipline such as History, Human Geography, Anthropology, or Museum Studies.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with collections and exhibition research and production

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in both indoor and outdoor situations and lift up to 15 kilograms
  • The candidates should be able to work in situations that require the use of ladders and basic shop tools

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess effective written and oral communication skills and demonstrate an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to apply Museum Standards, Practices, and Procedures in interpretation, exhibit development, and community engagement within an object-based, interpretive context
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the relevance of museums in the contemporary world, including Indigenous engagement, protocols, and community development
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively with various cultural and community groups to enhance museum programming and outreach
  • The candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks, track details, and meet deadlines efficiently, commit to a 35-hour workweek, from Monday to Friday
