Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as Grade 10 education
Experience: Candidates should have One year’s related child-care experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work with minimal supervision
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess valid recognized CPR and first aid certificates
- The candidates should have knowledge of current child-care standards and practices
- The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of first aid practices
- The candidates should be able to deal effectively and tactfully with children, the public, and staff
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to monitor the activities of children, ensuring an environment and atmosphere conducive to safe, enjoyable activity
- The candidates should be able to monitor the activities of children ranging in age from two months to five years, ensuring an environment and atmosphere conducive to safe, enjoyable activity
- The candidates should be able to ensure that the activity area is neat and clean and that the equipment is safe
- The candidates should be able to provide basic activities such as story-telling, crafts, and games
- The candidates should be able to perform parental duties such as changing diapers and comforting children as required
- The candidates should be able to complete attendance sheets and evaluation forms as required
- The candidates should be able to clean toys and equipment
