We’re looking for a motivated Data Analyst to join us in our mission.

As a Data Analyst specializing in Roblox games, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data insights to drive optimizations in game performance, enhance user experiences, and inform strategic decisions for our game development studio. Your primary responsibility will be to extract and analyze data from Roblox games using SQL queries, create comprehensive analytics reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. SQL Query Execution: Proficiently write and execute SQL queries to extract relevant data from databases of custom analytics events.

2. Data Analysis: Analyze game metrics, player behavior patterns, and other events to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

3. Performance Optimization: Utilize data insights to optimize game mechanics, user interfaces, and overall gameplay experiences.

4. Analytics Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs), player engagement metrics, and other notable trends.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with game designers, developers, marketers, and product managers to align data analysis efforts with business objectives.

6. A/B Testing: Design and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of feature changes and updates on player engagement.

7. Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of game data by implementing data validation processes and resolving discrepancies.

8. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and game development.




– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

– Proficiency in SQL querying and database management systems, with experience in handling large datasets.

– Familiarity with Roblox Studio, Luau scripting language, and/or the Roblox platform ecosystem is preferred.

– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

– Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.

– Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player psychology and game mechanics.




• $30/hour-$46/hour DOE


This role can be based in the Los Angeles office or remote. This position is generally operating during West Coast hours M-F 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
