Salary: $$39.50-$54.10 hourly 168 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time – On the road job
Location: British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Travel expenses not paid by employer, Willing to travel, Public transportation is not available
Work setting: Drilling and well service contractor, Remote location, Various locations
Supervision: 5-10 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves, Hard hat
Credentials: Standard First Aid Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Rig Worker Fall Protection
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Criminal record check, Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to work in confined spaces, dangerous area, wet/damp area, noisy area, outdoors, hot area, and cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to train and supervise floorhands, assistants and helpers
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain drilling mud systems and pumps
- The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports
- The candidates should be able to record mud flows and volumes and take samples
