Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning
Work setting: Room and board provided
Work site environment: Candidates should work in fruit and vegetable combination farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, other vegetables and melon farming (except potato), hot and old/refrigerated place
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, in fast-paced environment, work under pressure, maintain tight deadlines, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail, able to distinguish between colours, sit, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also in an organized way
- The candidate should be someone who can judge and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills
Candidate Status:
- Canadian Citizen and Permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able for brush collecting, clipping, greenhouse cleaning, hand harvesting vegetables, harvesting seedlings, lowering, mixing fertilizer, seed cutting, vegetable culling and also weeding
- The candidate should be able to clean crop, plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, fertilize and spray crops and also harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, examine produce for quality and prepare for market, write daily basic progress reports and also set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
