Job Description

Homewood Health Inc based in Guelph, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Intake worker – social services. Homewood Health Inc is a provider of mental health and addiction services. Specializing in comprehensive mental wellness support, we offer a wide range of programs, including employee assistance, treatment, and counseling services. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of Intake worker – social services is approved by LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment)

Salary: $20.50 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 37 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – Virtual job
Location: Guelph, ON
Shifts: To be determined


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or must be Bilingual
Education: Candidates should have a College/CEGEP, or equivalent experience or Psychology or Human services or Social work or Social sciences or Mental and social health services and allied professions
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and handle pressure effectively

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be client-focused, dependable, flexible, organized, reliable and team player
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication skills, strong interpersonal awareness and excellent written communication skills
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment, uphold values and ethics and demonstrate adaptability

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to interview clients to assess their situation and determine the types of services required and eligibility
  • The candidates should be able to perform administrative tasks
