Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to engage in providing episodic virtual appointments to clients requiring mental health assessments and treatment
- The candidates should be able to provide expert consultation to clients or members of the interprofessional team and plan, implement, and evaluate direct care for clients
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership to the healthcare team regarding the direction of care services for patients and their families
- The candidates should be able to work autonomously and accountably in communicating diagnoses, prescribing medications, and ordering a range of diagnostic tests
- The candidates should be able to lead and manage crisis response, including suicide risk assessment, demonstrating knowledge of the Mental Health Act
- The candidates should be able to practice in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario practice standards, the Canadian Nurses’ Association Advanced Practice Nursing Framework, and with all applicable legislative requirements
- The candidates should be able to support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements
