Tasks

About The Role:

We are looking for a QA Engineer to assess software quality through automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches, and ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

You also should have a real passion for problem-solving, be an active learner and get excited by working collaboratively with those around you. Experience in working in Node.js environments is a must.

Requirements

Technical competencies:

Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar role;

  • Experience in project management and QA methodology;
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus;
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors;
  • Proven experience with tools/languages such as Jest, NodeJS, Selenium WebDriver and Cypress.io.

  • Problem-solving skills that balance innovation with pragmatic technology choices to solve business needs;
  • Excellent English communication skills;
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic production environment and taking care of client expectations effectively;
  • Distinct customer focus and quality mindset;
  • An exemplar of YLD’s brand and safeguarder of our reputation;
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written).

Your day-to-day responsibilities will look like this:

  • Developing an automation framework using NodeJS (ExpressJs);
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using Cypress.io with (TS/JS);
  • Working with playwright (Codeceptjs/Pupeteer) to test features including heavy use of mocking techniques for HTTP and WebSocket protocols;
  • Working with Selenium WebDriver to write automation tests for testing 3rd parties APIs and services from APigee;
  • Using WebDriver to write automation tests;
  • Working with Jenkins as a CI/CD tool to run tests and suites for different environments like QA/Dev/Stage;
  • Write unit tests using Jest;
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve bugs;
  • Strong experience working on Agile methodology;
  • Using Jira as a task management tool and Zephyr to manage test cases;
  • Using Testomat for reporting/auditing automated test results.
