Alberta Health Services based in Red Deer Regional Hospital is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Registered Nurse. Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed an accredited practical nurse education program
Experience: Candidates must have minimum one-year acute care experience within the last 2 years on an acute care medical unit. Current N95. Blood administration and bladder scanning

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • The candidates should possess a current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being
  • The candidates should be able to utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
  • The candidates should be able to teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
  • The candidates should play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS
