Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the nursing field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should complete following courses from free resources of AHS, CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1 to 4) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification, If they have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years
- The candidates should have the physical ability to move quickly and efficiently throughout healthcare facilities, attending to patients in various settings. This includes walking, standing, and possibly assisting in emergency situations
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- The candidates should have Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- The candidates should have acute care experience, charge nurse experience, ACLS, TNCC, and Connect Care experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being
- The candidates should be able to utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
- The candidates should be able to play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
- The candidates should be able to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS
