Salary: $36.00 to $39.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 70 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Kitchener, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, public transportation is not available, and valid driver’s license
Work setting: In shop, rural area, and various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need any degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Snow removal
Equipment and machinery experience: Salt truck, sanding truck, snow transportation truck, snowplough, and de-icing sprayers 
Own tools/equipment: Gloves and steel-toed safety boots 
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check, driving record check (abstract), and drug test

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments and able to handle wet or damp conditions
• The candidates should be able to work in noisy conditions and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should demonstrate hand-eye coordination and exhibit a strong attention to detail
• The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding work, be comfortable with tasks that involve sitting, and be able to work under pressure
• The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and excel in both oral and written communication
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and initiative in their approach and function well as a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment
• The candidates should be able to operate various vehicles and equipment
• The candidates should be able to report any malfunctions to the supervisor
