The Opportunity

At Facility Optimization Solutions, LLC (FOS), it’s all about the people. With exceedingly low turnover rates, we’re constantly growing, and that’s where this new opportunity comes in – for a Senior Project Manager. This position can be based in any state in the US, but preference will be given to applicants in Buffalo, Chicago, Denver, or Houston. This leadership position will offer needed support to our field teams and client partners, helping to oversee contract terms, project financial performance, manage client expectations, and provide leadership to our Field Project Managers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Communicate in a lead role in key meetings and presentations. Ensure appropriate client and internal communication including written project documentation.
  • Lead project teams with Field Project Managers (FPMs) to develop project work plans, establish and maintain project budget and schedule, and manage the overall project execution process to achieve quality, profitability, and full client satisfaction.
  • Maintain long term positive client relationships leading to recurring services, and expansion into other product-based services.
  • Perform project client reviews, conduct project meetings, and report presentations.
  • Participate in proposal interviews and client marketing presentations to secure new work
  • Procure, negotiate, and contract all necessary sub-consultant services necessary per scope and deliverables.

Field Project Managers and Staff:

  • Communicate client objectives to FPMs. Ensure that FPMs continually manage work that accomplishes client objectives.
  • Review project progress utilizing performance reports with FPMs to understand and monitor team’s performance. Provide guidance to FPMs so that project objectives are met, and client satisfaction is achieved.
  • Meet with project team members on a regular basis to monitor work in progress and to assure that the firm’s best practice standards and procedures are being implemented.

Leadership Team: 

  • Achieve project profitability within parameters specified by the firm and targeted for each project. Work with Project Accountant to monitor financial aspects of projects. Ensure proper forecasting, billing, timely collection, and related business practices.
  • Grow the practice with the introduction and implementation of new market-responsive service lines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of related work experience in facility assessment, design, construction, or facility operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Relevant professional licensure and technical certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to confidently lead subordinates and build rapport with the team and client is essential.
  • Strong client engagement skills and business discipline with the ability to manage multiple projects of varied scale and complexity simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision or other data management software.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% for out-of-town assignments and field visits, as necessary

The salary range for this position is $89,000 to $111,000 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
