Mid Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Gorilla Logic is looking for a Mid Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) responsible for automation, instrumentation, and stability of our client’s platforms to achieve health and performance with a focus on cloud services and API management, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance and security of API management platforms like Apigee and improving system reliability through effective monitoring and automation.
Responsibilities
* Enhance and maintain scalable, automated systems, focusing on improving reliability and efficiency.
* Oversee the management and improvement of infrastructure services, emphasizing uptime and resilience.
* Implement monitoring and alerting frameworks using tools such as Grafana and Dynatrace.
* Utilize and manage API platforms like Apigee, ensuring their optimal performance and security.
* Enhance load balancing and networking architectures for improved availability and performance.
* Address and resolve Level 2 support issues in a timely manner.
Technical Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 2+ years of systems administration background (Unix/Networking)
* 2+ years of experience as a site reliability engineer
* 1+ years of coding experience with one or more high level languages like Python and Shell scripting
* Extensive experience with infrastructure monitoring and performance tools
* Proficiency in managing API platforms, including GCP Apigee, or understanding of similar services in AWS and Azure.
* Solid experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Dynatrace.
* Understanding of cloud services, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and Azure.
* Knowledge of load balancing and networking principles.
* Ability to handle Level 2 support issues efficiently.
Bonus Skills
* Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
* Understanding of container technologies and orchestration solutions.
* Experience with NGINX as a web server and reverse proxy.
