The Human Resources department has an opportunity for qualified individuals to apply for the position of Human Resources Coordinator. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Human Resources Manager, coordinating and supporting the key areas of Recruitment, Onboarding/Offboarding, Training, Job Evaluation and Corporate Events, is the go-to for all employee and HR related services. The position will be responsible to support and coordinate full cycle recruitment activities for a wide range of positions. This position is also responsible for participating in projects which involve researching, compiling, and analyzing information.
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for recruitment and human relations, who takes initiatives and delivers excellent service while building effective working relationships, detail oriented, resourceful, and problem solver with a can-do attitude, who excels in a fast paced constantly evolving high-energy environment and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Diploma in Human Resources, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- A CPHR designation or working towards the destination is a strong asset
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Human Resources department, preferably experience in recruitment in a unionized environment
- Knowledgeable in legislation applicable to human resources such as the Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, WorkSafeBC, and Workers’ Compensation Act
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint knowledge an asset
- Experience working in HRIS and ATS preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, organisational, time management and planning skills
- Class 5 BC Drivers License or equivalent
