IT ANALYST II
Job Description:
This role accesses and provides technical
solutions to meet business user needs. The incumbent is responsible for providing assistance and support, training, planning, coordinating,
and managing of both in-house developed and vendor supported application software and systems including, but not limited to MS SharePoint
and MS Teams.
Tests and implements applications with appropriate security measures in an integrated, complex information technology
environment while ensuring minimal disruption of services and resources.
Effectively works with a diverse array of products, systems
and environments necessary to facilitate creation, deployment and maintenance of software products.
Formulates potential solutions
collaboratively in a team setting and effectively communicates with the supervisor, co-workers and customers. Translates business
requirements into functional specifications and manages changes.
Organizes and manages complex activities while completing
assignments in a timely fashion with attention to detail and accuracy.
Maintains familiarity with current technologies related to
application development and documentation in terms of methodologies, products and languages used in support of the missions of the Academic
Health Center.
Actively identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to share knowledge acquired through training or experience to
proactively foster skills development among fellow team members.
Consistently demonstrates a strong customer centric orientation
while exercising discretion, professional judgment, confidentiality and initiative.
Effectively manages workload volume, projects
and issues while interacting effectively with customers and personnel of diverse rank and varied levels of technical expertise.
Assists in creating and executing procedures that ensure that all systems, products and services meet organization standards and
end-user requirements.
Expected Salary:
$60,500 – $62,000
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and three
years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the
required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to develop, maintain and improve high-quality software applications
which demonstrate a high degree of data integrity, accuracy and availability is required.
Must be able to test and implement
applications with appropriate security measures in an integrated, complex information technology environment with minimal disruption of
network services and resources.
Detailed understanding of structured query language (SQL) is desirable.
The ability to use
Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI is desirable.
Familiarity with software products used to create reports and manage
enterprise data is required.
Familiarity with, or a demonstrated ability to acquire sufficient knowledge needed to effectively work
with products and to perform actions in systems and environments to the extent necessary to facilitate creation, deployment and maintenance
of software applications is required.
Ability to analyze, determine causative issues, resolve technical challenges and report
effectively at a level commensurate with the position is required.
Must formulate solutions collaboratively and effectively in a
team setting.
Must be able to organize and manage complex activities and to complete assignments in a timely fashion with attention
to detail and accuracy with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written, American English). An ability to
effectively coordinate efforts among customers, IT professionals and other support staff is required.
Must proactively foster skills
development among team members.
