Lab Technician- August 2024 ( 3months contract), Qatar

We are looking to recruit a temporary Laboratory Technician for 3 months to join ACS International School Doha, Qatar. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for providing technical support to science teachers and students in the school’s laboratory.

Reporting to: Head of Science

Requirements:

Qualifications:

·     Bachelor’s degree in relevant field ( preferred Chemistry)

·     Previous experience in a laboratory setting

·     Previous experience in a school is preferred

Knowledge and Skills

·     Understanding of laboratory safety protools and best practices

·     Familiariy with common laboratory equipment and techniques

·     Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities  

·     Set up and organize laboratory equipment, materials and resources for science experiments and demonatrations.

·     Enforce safety protocols are followed to ensure secure and hazard-free laboratory environment.

·     Ensure all necessary supplies are available for each laboratory session.

·     Maintain an organized inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals and equipment

·     Order and restock supplies as needed keeping within budget constraints.

·     Collaborate with science teachers to understand the requirements of upcoming experiments and activities

·     Provide guidance and support to students during laboratory sessions
