We are seeking for lecturers in the following disciplines in our General Studies Department: English Language, French, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science/ICT, Nutrition, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Laboratory Science Technology, Guidance & Counseling, Citizenship, Political Science/Administration and Statistics. Roles & Responsibilities
The general studies lecturer is to educate and inspire students, covering a wide range of interdisciplinary subjects. The lecturer is to foster critical thinking and provide a well-rounded education to empower the next generation of informed and versatile leaders.
Qualification:
The lecturers in general studies shall possess the following qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in relevant field of specialization (English Language, French, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science/ICT, Nutrition, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Laboratory Science Technology
- Guidance & Counseling, Citizenship, Political Science/Administration and Statistics)
- A teaching qualification such as Professional Diploma in Education (PDE), Masters in Education (M.Ed.), Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and National Certificate in Education (NCE).
- A minimum of six (6) years of teaching experience, at least three (3) of which must be in a College of Education or an institution of comparable or higher standing.
- A minimum number of scholarly publications as determined by the Appointments & Promotions Committee, demonstrable ability to initiate and develop research.
- Must be computer literate.
