Scope of
Job:

To develop and maintain a quality marketing program to provide maximum favorable publicity and recognition for a specific
University department through on and off-campus marketing and promotions and dissemination of media relations.

Description of
Duties:

Develops and implements marketing plans to increase attendance at assigned events in alignment with University marketing
guidelines.
Coordinates and manages event operations and promotions.
Designs various promotional materials.
Analyzes and targets
market segments.
Conducts market research in support of marketing plans.
Performs stakeholder and community contact relations.

Develops various publications.
Assists in the fulfillment of corporate sponsorship contracts.
Acts as liaison and department
representative in committees and task force groups.
May supervise event marketing and promotions staff.
Coordinates volunteer
activates and events.
Staff assigned to a department other than University Marketing and Communications will offer services in alignment
with the centralized department.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision Received:
General direction from the
assigned supervisor.

Supervision Given:
Direct supervision of all assigned staff.

Required
Education:

Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Communications, Marketing or closely related area.

Preferred
Education:

Licenses/Certifications:
None.

Required Experience:
One (1) years experience in
media relations and/or marketing.

Preferred Experience:
N/A

Equipment:
Use of standard office equipment,
personal computer. Skills pertaining specifically to MS word, power point and excel. Use of public address system.

Working
Conditions:

Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Indoor office environment. Constant weekend and/or evening
activities; Occasional travel is required.

Other:
Must be able to be comfortable being in front of audience in game/event
setting. Must be able to identify target audience and create plans to attract the target to planned events. Must be creative in
implementation and design for fan participation contests during events.
