Lagoon Hospital was first established in 1986 with Lagoon Hospital Apapa, now the flagship hospital, followed by Lagoon Hospital Ikeja and Lagoon Hospital Victoria Island. The Group has since added 2 new locations: Lagoon Clinics in Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja and Lagoon Specialist Suites in Victoria Island bringing a total of 5 locations to date. This role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring the implementation of quality care for patients while helping them restore good health and well-being. 

Summary of Responsibilities

Work alongside other matrons to coordinate all nursing staff duties and responsibilities 
Provide leadership and direction to the unit, ensuring the implementation of quality nursing care for patients.
Ensure discipline in the nursing department.
Establish and coordinate good working relationship with other departments to promote a culture of safety, quality and risk management.
Promote and imbibe in all nursing staff the need for proper, complete and accurate documentation in patients records.
Develop and implement initiatives to enhance patient experience, satisfaction and engagement.
Participate in recruitment, induction and training of nurses.
Enforce conformity with Standard Operating Procedures and policies/ adherence to quality standards.
Participate in departmental quality improvement project.

Job Qualifications

Post-Basic Qualification; (Midwifery, Perioperative Nursing etc.)
RN, BNSC 
Valid nursing practicing license.
Post-graduate qualification in Nursing, Public health etc. will be an added advantage
Nursing administration/Hospital management Diploma, an added advantage.
