optimize patient outcomes.

Core Functions: 

  • Assist students in
    performing appropriate assessments, developing treatment plans, including time-based functional goals, and monitoring and modifying
    treatment plans appropriately concerning objective findings. 
  • Ensure that students follow regulatory guidelines for client
    management, including documentation to adhere to departmental timelines for completion of all paperwork (evals, notes, and D/C summary) and
    craft documents that include appropriate detail and description of evaluation information that support treatment goal formulation and
    progression. 
  • Ensure students can discharge patients from therapy planning decisions and utilize appropriate evidence-based
    treatment techniques through individualized treatment planning. 
  • Instruct clients/family in therapeutic activities and provide
    handouts and home plans when appropriate.

 Background/Expertise:

  • MA/MS in Speech-Language
    Pathology required.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain licensure as an SLP in the state of Utah. 
  • ASHA certification
    of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology is required. 
  • Minimum three (3) years of speech-language pathology
    clinical experience
