Job Description


Joint Research and Enterprise Services (JRES) is responsible for research and enterprise facilitation and management for both St George’s University and St George’s NHS Trust. We are a team of about 35, and we cover a broad and complex remit across two organisations, providing a service to our researchers in St George’s University and NHS Trust and to our external partners. 

Crucial to enabling the functioning of JRES, the Operations Officer will work closely with the JRES management team to provide support for the department. The job includes updating the JRES website and other communications, servicing meetings and maintaining databases, along with office management and coordination of department activities. 

Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • Previous experience working in an administrative/operations role in higher education and/or the NHS 
  • Experience of working to standard operating procedures 
  • Experience of successfully managing and coordinating a range of tasks 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • High levels of accuracy and strong attention to detail
