OPS Social Media Assistant
Job Description:
The University of Florida Warrington College of Business is seeking a
part-time social media position to assist the Editorial Team with content projects for the College’s social media flagship channels.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, comfortable with tight deadlines, researching information for posts and projects
independently, working on multiple campaigns at once, brainstorming content ideas independently and with the Editorial team, is a
problem-solver, and is well organized.
Potential projects include, but are not limited to:
1. Writing and editing social media
posts focused on students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
2. Scheduling content through a third-party platform.
3. Intake of customer
service questions through direct messages.
4. Taking photos where required.
5. Interviewing subjects for social posts or videos where
needed
6. Collaborating with the video and graphics teams to facilitate campaigns.
The position is hybrid, with opportunities to
work in the office and remotely. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. but must adhere to an agreed-upon schedule. Minimum stay of 6
months, 8-10 hours weekly, but longer stays are available and encouraged.
Expected Salary:
$15.00 /hour
Minimum
Requirements:
1. Knowledge and background in working with Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
2. Good
communication skills.
3. Organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience
writing and editing social media channels
2. Ability to pitch content ideas
3. Attention to detail
4. Ability to work on a
team
