Job Description

DTU Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship is opening a position for a full professorship within psychology of entrepreneurship. The professor should have a deep engagement in excellent research and education. Furthermore, the professor is expected to be both proactive and structured, and to have comprehensive knowledge of the role of cognition and emotion in the entrepreneurial process, as well as in team dynamics. The professorship is expected to play an equally active role in academia and on the practice scene.

Psychology plays a crucial role in entrepreneurship, offering significant benefits to all stages of the entrepreneurial journey. Psychology also plays a key role in building entrepreneurial communities (such as at universities), and in how such communities come to benefit society as a whole. For better education, integrating psychology into entrepreneurship programs enriches the curriculum – and provides more qualified entrepreneurial students. In a broader context, psychology also enables students in general to be more efficient in bringing innovative solutions to success. This professorship therefore seeks to strengthen the centre’s position as an international leader in entrepreneurship, both in the academic as well as in the practice arena, and DTU’s role overall as the university of innovation.
