We are really pleased to offer this excellent opportunity to join our team in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care as a Programmes Officer (Assessments).
The work of our Assessments Team is essential to support the learning and teaching of over 3,000 students at King’s each year. As one of our Programmes Officers (Assessments), you will help us to provide world-leading educational support for our students. This is particularly important to us, due to Faculty’s top position in the QS World University Rankings both in UK and globally.
The successful candidate will work proactively to support a broad range of stakeholders. With a highly motived approach, the successful candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as delivering within a team. Most importantly, they will have a passionate commitment to working to ensure the best possible experience for all our students here at King’s.
As a core member of the Faculty’s professional services team, the post holder will be part of a diverse, high performing, inclusive team, that delivers an outstanding level of service and support all Faculty academic administrative processes. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work as part of KCL’s hybrid working model where you can work between your home and the office throughout the week.

Skills, knowledge, and experience
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to work on new systems
- Methodical, detail oriented and flexible in a approach to work, maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner
- Proactive with the ability to work independently as well as delivering within a team in a flexible manner
- Demonstrates a commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity for staff and students
Desirable criteria
- Experience of using virtual learning environments
- Experience in the use of databases, student records systems (such as SITS) and website content management systems
