Job Description:

SCDI is seeking a dedicated and proactive Project/M&E Intern to support the implementation of TB/HIV case-finding projects in Yobe State. The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-ground coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the projects, ensuring smooth delivery of project objectives. The role requires someone familiar with the health sector, capable of working effectively with stakeholders, and committed to ethical standards, including safeguarding (PSEA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of TB/HIV case-finding projects in Yobe State.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, healthcare providers, and community members to ensure effective project execution.
  • Conduct field visits to ensure accurate and timely data collection, monitoring, and reporting of project activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, ensuring quality and compliance with project objectives.
  • Work with the Programme Manager to develop strategies for improving project outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding standards, particularly PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).
  • Participate in online meetings and represent the project as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be a resident of Yobe State and familiar with the local context.
  • A background in health, social sciences, development studies, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years experience in TB/HIV programming is an advantage.
  • Experience or understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) processes.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Ability to participate in online meetings using platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Yobe State for project activities.
