Terms: Full-time, Fixed-term (5 years) 

The Australian National University is seeking a highly experienced senior leader to join ANU as its Provost and Senior Vice-President.

The Provost and Senior Vice-President is responsible for supporting the Vice-Chancellor and President in leading and managing the University, and delivering the ANU Strategic Plan with a particular focus on integrated management of the University’s academic activities, encompassing education, research and innovation and the student and staff experience. As the chief academic officer of the University, serving under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor and President the role will work closely with and lead the team of College Deans, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic) and (Research & Innovation) to drive the strategic outcomes of the University.

The Provost and Senior Vice-President is tasked with the cohesive implementation of the University’s overall academic mission centrally, in Colleges and with our community. The role will also provide support to meet the University’s responsibilities to First Nations’ peoples as students, colleagues, and members of our community.

Outstanding record of strategic delivery and innovation within an academic and/or research with a proven capability and experience in the management of significant human, financial and strategic resources within a complex organisation.
