Position Summary

Platform.sh is seeking a driven General Accountant to join our global Accounting team, playing a pivotal role in our various subsidiaries and headquarters. Dive into dynamic responsibilities, overseeing vital month-end procedures, managing efficient billing and invoicing, leading financial reporting collaborations, and spearheading audit coordination. What you can expect

  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, for various subsidiaries of the Group, managing account reconciliations, roll-forward schedules, and journal entry preparation based on meticulous review.
  • Handle supplier billing, customer invoicing, and bank entries efficiently, ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage VAT declaration, various tax obligations, and General Ledger responsibilities including monthly Management reporting packages, accruals, and precise financial records maintenance.
  • Collaborate on comprehensive monthly balance sheet and income statement flux variance analyses for precise management reporting.
  • Facilitate smooth coordination with HR, local outsourcing firms for payroll management, and review of monthly payroll reports.
  • Lead the coordination of external annual audits, ensuring seamless compliance and workflow.
  • Provide robust support for project management initiatives, particularly IFRS implementation, consolidation, and contribute dynamically to ad-hoc projects, enhancing team and organizational success.

What you bring

  • Proven impactful progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in financial reporting, reconciliations, and auditing practices
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and an advanced understanding of accounting principles and standards
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is appreciated
  • Proficient understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively
  • Organizational skills adaptable to different audiences
  • Exceptional analytical and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

This is a remote job. Work from the Europe/UK Region.
