Primarily responsible for leading the Accounting function including establishing the right organization structure, building the right talent. Responsible for ensuring that Accounting processes, governance and controls are working effectively. Expected to work closely with various business partners to support the business strategy and improve processes to make the business more effective. The Director of Finance reports to the Chief Financial Officer and directly supervises all of the Accounting Finance personnel in their daily tasks. Strong management skills and the ability to manage and implement processes is a requirement.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Responsible for leading the Accounting team including defining the right organization, roles & responsibilities, career development and talent management (both on and offshore).
  • Manages the daily Finance Department operations and administrative functions.
  • Partners with the business to ensure alignment with overall strategy and to optimize processes and resolve business issues.
  • Leads the monthly closing process and prepares monthly financial statements.
  • Ensures that internal controls within the company are in place and being followed.
  • Prepares cash forecast and manages weekly cash requirements.
  • Focus on optimizing processes including monthly close, billing, collections, accounts payable.
  • Key leader that engages with external partners including auditors, tax consultants, banking partners.
  • Assists with special projects as deemed necessary by the CEO and CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma
  • 5-8 years’ experience
  • Expert in Excel

  • Strong focus on understanding client needs
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully manage/execute multiple projects simultaneously
