Job Description
About the role:
This position will work collaboratively with the global group of Subject Matter Experts and senior leaders in supporting O-I Cares through data management, analysis, auditing and resource allocation. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and communicating audit results and areas of improvement by Region, Country Group and individual sites, while improving systems and tools using customer experience feedback. You will have opportunity to create strategies and implement global reporting systems for data and analysis involving EHS data, audit scheduling, training and execution.
Also, you will:
- Establish appropriate objectives for direct reports to support O-I’s Strategic Priorities, including but not limited to O-I Cares and Golden Rules.
- Identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiencies and reduce cost that directly impact the P&L of the business.
- Manage, coach and mentor all direct and dotted-line reports.
- Oversee the management of personnel, budget, and other resources to ensure goals and objectives are met.
- Collaborate with Global Operations to include EHS specific Audit Criteria into non-EHS systems to leverage synergies across functions, including systems such as Skillsoft, Safety Data Sheet management, and future development of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Virtual Reality.
- Create appropriate training material for Leaders, Country Group EHS Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, and Plant EHS Leaders with required training matrix in collaboration with People and Culture.
- Train and mentor Lead Auditor/Team Leaders and other Auditors to comply with Regulation, Policy, Best Practice and External / Internal Audit requirements.
- Create value-added data collection, testing and analysis to correlate with trends and to propose to top leadership actions to influence future policy, protocol, and procedural improvements to positively impact Injury, and insurance cost in alignment with O-I Cares, Golden-Rules, and other relative requirements as appropriate.
- Establish relationship with and incorporate Worker’s Compensation data into existing systems to streamline data requirements and non-value-added time required to comply with Regulation and Third-Party Administration.
- Establish Communications to inform Leadership regarding EHS Data, Trends, Audit, Policy and Protocol using all available channels such as Stream, O-I Connect, and Yammer.
Travel requirements:
Up to 25% Global Travel
We support remote role and this position can be based globally in any country where we have operation.
Qualifications
About you:
- You love glass and care about sustainability and the planet.
- You have Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Engineering, Environmental, Health, Safety, or related field required; Master of Business Administration or Certified Lean and Six Sigma Master Black Belt Program Manager experience with proven track record preferred.
- You have Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent with proven performance strongly desired.
- 5+ years in Auditing in both back-office/transactional and Manufacturing environments, with Environmental, Health, Safety & Property Protection exposure required.
- 10 years management experience in manufacturing or engineering roles.
- You’re a good communicator with strong ability to be proactive and show initiative.
- Good team player

What we offer:
US Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $93k and $116,200 + 15% of annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
