Job Description
Service Center Partner Sales Engineers are part of our global service center responsible for driving positive business outcomes for our resellers and distribution partners and their customers through:
- Responding to inbound requests from Zscaler partner business managers, partners or distribution for assistance on first call, demo, or other technical pre-sales activities.
- Providing technical influence, and guidance to our partner community with a focus on regional resellers and our distribution partners
- Assisting partners through the use of education, co-selling activities, solutions demo center labs.
- Remote assistance on partner lab configurations.
- Educating our partners via consumption of our training classes and materials, architecture workshops, and other awareness activities with an emphasis on the outcomes those activities can drive.
- Working closely with other Velocity team members on in theater engagement with these partners.
This role requires an understanding of security and networking technologies, along with the ability to understand and interpret organizational dynamics to engage with and positively influence key technology and enterprise architecture decision makers.
Qualifications
4+ years of technical pre-sales experience, with professional services or architecture experience a plus.
- Experience as an inside or Service Center SE in a vendor organization focused on technical upskilling of Distribution led partner organizations.
- Ability to run technical hands on training to drive train the trainer approach.
- Experience for this position is typically gained by 3+ years of success in a similar role working for a vendor or a customer.
- Broad understanding of security, networking, authentication, and Internet fundamentals
- Experience building technical champions that influence partner direction and positive business outcomes for our partners, Zscaler, and our joint customers
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills and very engaging interpersonal skills including large scale presentations
- Strong prioritization, time management skills with a strong “get it done” attitude
- Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science degree and/or equivalent work experience
- Location requirement: Costa Rica
- Full professional language proficiency with English and Spanish
- Travel up to 10% to support partner engagements, industry events, and internal development
