Job Description
This role can be done remotely across Poland, 40 hours a week – possibility to visit our offices in Poland if you prefer to work in hybrid way.
Your Mission
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Tellent, your mission centers on steering the orchestration and enhancement of our cloud infrastructure, predominantly on Google Cloud Platform. Your expertise in Kubernetes will be pivotal, ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of our microservices-driven applications. Proficiency in GitHub Actions and familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog will be an added advantage, elevating our system’s reliability and performance.
Our backend stronghold lies in Elixir/Phoenix, utilizing both REST and WebSockets to power the core of our applications. Meanwhile, our frontend thrives on Angular, providing an immersive user experience. Additionally, we have pockets of applications leveraging Python and Flask, adding versatility to our tech landscape.
About the team
We are a small team of 3-4 experienced DevOps engineers maintaining Tellent products, and keeping developers happy. We are focused on testing new solutions, and building our own tools. We also keep track of platform reliability and security.
Although we work remotely and support flexible working hours, we do our best to be available when other teams need our support (usually somewhere between 9am and 6pm)
Your 12 month journey
First 3 Months: Begin by familiarising yourself with our systems, diving into refining internal processes, and joining collaborative sessions to grasp our DevOps needs.
Within 6 Months: Step up your game! Engage in managing application releases, explore data structures for Big Data & PostgreSQL databases, and potentially take the lead on ongoing DevOps projects.
After 1 Year: Take centre stage in our DevOps landscape, overseeing Kubernetes clusters, nurturing cloud infrastructure across AWS & GCP, and guiding Github Actions pipelines.
What you’ll be doing:

Expertly manage Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure.

Craft and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Collaborate closely with software teams to ensure smooth feature deployments.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- A great sense of humor
- A knack for innovative ideas.
- Business experience in GCP or AWS.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Track record in managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in scaling applications.
- Good command of Polish and intermediate English. We speak in dev teams mainly in Polish, while documentation and communication with other branches are held in English.
