Overview
ITG’s CRM and CX teams deliver complex CRM activity and digital marketing solutions for global clients by leveraging a broad range of marketing technologies including platforms such as SFMC, Adobe Campaign, Braze, Eloqua, Klaviyo and of course our very own Deployteq marketing automation software. We engage with brands to understand their technical landscape in the context of a customer experience driven approach, helping them to maximise ROI with our consultative services. Our teams comprise of marketing automation specialists, consultants, front end data developers, client services professionals and campaign managers, as well as everything in between, who all working seamlessly to delivery award winning onmi-channel campaigns on behalf of some of the most prestigious customers globally.
The role:
Right now, we are actively seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join our consulting team. In this position, you will initially be tasked with working with one of our largest clients on a number of Salesforce Marketing Cloud based initiatives. You will play a key role in helping ITG’s broad range of clients design and implement their complex marketing technology solutions. The position will offer the opportunity to collaborate closely with a variety of our clients; helping them to streamline their marketing processes, designing, implementing and developing their data-driven CRM and multichannel digital marketing solutions, whilst offering best in class solution guidance, platform recommendations and relationship management. In addition, you will provide technical guidance and support across various departments, including our development team, ensuring the successful delivery of our marketing technology projects.
As a Marketing Technology Technical Architect, you will be an integral part of ITG’s Technical Consultancy team, delivering excellence to ITG’s clients and prospects, as well as internal stakeholders. You will offer a unique blend of technical and client facing skills, demonstrating the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences, discussing a range of topics from API integrations to consumer journeys. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation, helping our clients achieve their strategic goals through well-designed and efficient marketing technology solutions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand the organisation’s business requirements, goals, and constraints. Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams, to gather and analyse requirements thoroughly.
- Develop high-level and detailed solution designs that address business requirements. Consider various technical options and choose the best-suited technologies, platforms, and architecture patterns.
- Ensure the proposed solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems and processes. Identifying potential integration points and design strategies for data exchange and interoperability
- Create comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and design patterns, to communicate the solution to stakeholders and development teams.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the proposed solution. Develop mitigation strategies to address these risks and ensure the project’s success.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices. Apply this knowledge to design innovative and efficient solutions.
- Provide cost estimates for proposed solutions, including hardware, software, and development efforts. Help stakeholders make informed budgetary decisions.
- Build prototypes or proof-of-concept models to validate the feasibility of the proposed solution and demonstrate its functionality.
- Collaborate with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of proposed solutions.
- Optimise the architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability. Monitor and fine-tune the solution as needed to meet performance requirements.
- Ensure that proposed solutions adhere to security standards and compliance requirements. Implement security measures and best practices to protect data and systems.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and processes and propose enhancements to the architecture.
- Evaluate third-party vendors and solutions when necessary. Select and integrate external products or services that align with the overall architecture.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and understanding of the architecture.
- Effectively communicate the technical aspects of proposed solutions to non-technical stakeholders, such as executives and business users
- Participate in project governance and decision-making processes to ensure that the solution aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Lead requirements gathering discovery sessions with prospects and clients.
- Lead technical playback sessions with prospects and clients.
- Keep up to date with product updates, new features and tools of benefit to ITGs clients prospects.
- Act as bridge between our clients and our tech teams to ensure joined-up approach understanding to marketing services offering.
- Identify and promote training opportunities on new platforms/features to our tech teams.
- Optimise marketing technology solutions to streamline marketing processes and enhance customer relationships.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a technical / solution architect capacity with relevant marketing technologies
- Consultant Certified in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex technical and business processes into simple, understandable terms
- Experience in running requirements gathering and discovery workshops.
- Excellent CRM and data-driven digital marketing experience
- Strong technical background that includes exposure to data development, ETL processes, integrations via API, and architectural governance
- Knowledge of digital marketing industry standards and best practices with the ability to match client’s business requirements to solutions product capabilities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills with experience interpreting and translating technical requirements.
Desirable
- 5+ Years experience across the entire Salesforce ecosystem including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud
- Experience with latest cloud based data and development environments such as Snowflake, AWS, and GCP
