The opportunity

The Senior Web FE Developer reports to the Director of Web
Development. You will be a leader and technical expert in SNHU’s web development programs. You will improve the design and implementation of
web applications that define our digital presence. Your understanding of front-end technologies will help achieve SNHU’s strategic goals and
ensuring our web solutions remain at the forefront of innovation. This role will be hybrid #LI-Hybrid requiring occasional travel to our
Manchester, NH office.

What you’ll do:

  • Build responsive, mobile-first web controls and components that
    meet usability and accessibility web best practices.
  • Develop and implement custom CSS configurations using Tailwind CSS and
    Bootstrap
  • Build modular and scalable web components using TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Design and implement dynamic UI
    components using React, ensuring efficient state management and component reusability.
  • Build headless web applications applying a
    data tier, using REST or GraphQL
  • Assess and remedy performance issues.
  • Implement UI, SEO, accessibility, usability, and
    performance best practices with equal importance.
  • Contribute, develop, and follow detailed technical specifications
  • Provide
    technical mentorship and guidance to a team of developers, nurturing their growth, skill development, and overall
    effectiveness.
  • Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to
    coding standards.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and learning within the development team.
  • Partner
    with the UXD team to translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing front-end implementations.
  • Communicate updates
    and resolutions with product owners, team leads, QA, project managers, and internal partners to facilitate accurate,
    deliverables
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and latest technologies, evaluating their applicability to our projects and
    long-term goals.
  • Implement testing strategies and observability processes to ensure reliable, web applications.
  • Use
    performance optimization techniques and tools to achieve fast load times, responsiveness, and a positive user experience, being mindful of
    SEO principles and practices.
  • Contribute to the technical strategy of the organization, advocating for using new technologies and
    methodologies.
  • Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical partners, ensuring understanding.
  • Build
    responsive, mobile-first web controls and components that meet usability and accessibility web standards

We would like
to see:

  • 5+ years of proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Typescript, along with
    expertise in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Academic Degree(s) and/ areas of study: Bachelor’s degree
    preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with Node.js
  • 3+ years of
    experience incorporating TAP, Promises.
  • Experience with Next.js
  • Unit Testing
  • Experience optimizing the Request
    Waterfall
  • Demonstrate understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Experience developing Headless web applications using
    a data tier using one or both of either REST or GraphQL
  • Experience working with a team of engineers developing against a singular
    codebase using build and deploy automation.
  • Experience with front-end build automation systems such as Grunt or
    Gulp.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of Web browsers (Edge,
    Firefox, Chrome, Safari), Windows, iOS

Additional experience with:

  • 7+ years of professional
    experience in full-stack web development, demonstrating experience successful project delivery.
  • 7+ years of experience in lieu of
    degree acceptable.
  • Master’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field;
  • Understanding of
    OOP tenets, Design Patterns, SOLID.
  • 3+ years of developing specifically with React and Next.js
  • Git Command
    Line
  • Experience developing with containerized applications
  • Experience with Tailwind or other CSS
    Frameworks
  • Experience building UI libraries integrating with Storybook
  • Experience or knowledge of
    Monorepos
  • Experience with A/B testing, and implementing A/B and multivariate tests on landing pages
  • Proficiency in Google
    Tag Manager
  • Experience with Tracking campaign activity
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum or Kanban development
    lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with ADA/WCAG standards.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $100,560.00 –
$160,926.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business
considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $111,119.00 – $150,338.00.
