Pitt-Bradford is looking for a creative,
enthusiastic communicator, who knows how to successfully connect with audiences on social media and thrives in that fast-paced,
ever-changing environment to be the next Social Media Strategist.

Hiring Range: $36,000 – $38,000/year

Duties
and Responsibilities:
A successful Social Media Strategist will
take ownership of the University’s social media presence and generate engaging content, manage and connect with our audiences,
and track engagement on social media.

Each day will be interesting, exciting and enjoyable as

  • Create engaging content to connect with many audiences, including prospective and current students, alumni, and the local
    community.
  • Share the stories of our students, faculty and staff.
  • Develop social media campaigns to promote programs, events
    and opportunities.
  • Explore trends and metrics to measure your effectiveness.
  • Engage with followers and users to ensure they
    are heard and valued.
  • Work with a dedicated group of award-winning campus communicators who will support you.

Requirements: The next Social Media Strategist must have a bachelor’s degree; be able to write clearly, concisely and
correctly; know how to create interesting content; successfully engage with and manage social media communities, including underrepresented
communities; stay calm in stressful situations; and have a sense of humor.

Extra attention will be paid to applicants with strong
examples of previous experience in social media management that can be demonstrated in a media sample or portfolio.

Job Summary

Maintains
University-wide, school, or programs social media accounts. Compiles monthly analytic reports and identifies opportunities for growth.
Creates day-to-day updates and posts for the University’s website, acts as point of contact for all email campaigns, and maintains internal
newsletter system.


Essential Functions

* Plan, produce, schedule and publish high-quality, engaging
social media content to connect, increase engagement and generate a positive image with Pitt-Bradford’s audiences

* Develop
and implement social media campaigns

* Use the appropriate tools to measure the success of each campaign and make appropriate
adjustments based on those results

* Develop a social media content calendar for the university and assist and advise when
needed other offices on campus, including arts programming, alumni and advancement.

* Provide social media communications in
collaboration with other office staff members on crisis communication issues

* Keep abreast of the latest social media best
practices and technologies and implement them when appropriate

* Assist with other communications/marketing related tasks as
needed

* Work collaborating with other faculty and staff offices to help them maximize their social media
effectiveness

Physical Effort

Majority of duties are sedentary in nature. Position
requires extended periods of sitting. Prolonged usage of computer terminal requiring visual acuity and finger dexterity. Must be able to
hear and speak clearly and concisely, both face-to-face and on the phone. Must be able to type and use computers.
