Job Description


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse (DWH) Consultant with strong expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). The ideal candidate will design, develop, and manage data warehousing solutions, implement ETL processes, and build and maintain OLAP cubes to support business intelligence needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Warehouse Design and Development:

– Design and develop scalable and robust data warehousing solutions to support business reporting and analysis needs.

– Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and develop data models.

– Implement data governance and quality control measures.

ETL Development (SSIS):

– Create and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various data sources into the data warehouse.

– Troubleshoot and optimize SSIS package performance.

OLAP Cube Development (SSAS):

– Develop, deploy, and maintain SSAS OLAP cubes and tabular models to support data analysis and reporting.

– Design and implement data models for OLAP cubes.

Data Modeling:

– Design and implement data models that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.

– Conduct data profiling and analysis.

Performance Optimization:

– Monitor and optimize the performance of data warehouse, SSIS packages, and SSAS cubes.

– Implement indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques.

Data Integration:

– Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to integrate data from multiple sources.

– Ensure data quality and consistency.

Testing and Validation:

– Conduct data validation, unit testing, and quality assurance of ETL processes and OLAP cubes.

– Identify and resolve data discrepancies.

Documentation and Support:

– Document processes, workflows, and standards for ETL, DWH, and SSAS solutions.

– Provide support and troubleshooting for production issues.
