Develop and implement sustainability strategies, policies, and programs to minimize environmental impact.
Conduct sustainability assessments, audits, and benchmarking to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers) to promote sustainability initiatives.
Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics.
Identify and mitigate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks.
Develop relationships with sustainability stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and community groups.
Ensure compliance with sustainability-related regulations and standards.
Manage sustainability-related data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Develop and deliver training programs to promote sustainability awareness and behaviors.
Manage budget for sustainability initiatives and projects.
Collaborate with departments; operations, supply chain and marketing.
Communicate sustainability progress and achievements through reporting, media, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/HND in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related field.
5+ years of experience in sustainability management, preferably in the cashew industry.
Strong knowledge of sustainability standards, cashew market trends, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple sustainability initiatives.
Experience with international trade, logistics, and sustainable supply chains.
Knowledge of local and international sustainability frameworks for cashew markets.
