Job Description
- Answer telephone inquiries concerning technology including questions regarding SSO ids, passwords,
MFA, Secure Auto, networking, Canvas, email, general purpose software and hardware. - Install and configure desktop computer systems
running Windows, Macintosh OS and peripherals. - Help faculty, staff, and students get connected to the campus network via VPN
(virtual private network), wireless devices and wired devices - Relocate desktop computers, projectors and peripherals in labs,
classrooms, and faculty/staff offices as required. - Provide computing and av hardware support, including preventative maintenance for
the academic classrooms across campus, including the student computer labs - Interact with coworkers and supervisor to determine
customer support procedures that benefit the campus community. - Provide installation of faculty and staff computers.
- Provide
virus remediation - Provide and maintain laptops for checkout.
- Provide desktop re-imaging services
- Have the ability to
support Managed Printing and software associated with printing. - Provide Triton Cards for Faculty, Staff, Students and
vendors.

Minimum
Qualifications
- In appraising the relative qualifications of candidates for all levels, consideration will be given to the
extent and type of experience with various information technology functions and to the extent and type of pertinent education and formal
training. At the time a job opening is posted, the hiring department will specify required knowledge and skills pertaining to specific
technologies/software/equipment. - Broad range of LAN and desktop knowledge skills (reference specifics posted by the hiring
department). - Expansive knowledge of desktop/workstation hardware/software/operating systems (configuration and connectivity).
- Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of networks, network topologies, and network file servers, applicable
software, and troubleshooting techniques. - Familiarity with systems administration and security principles.
- Familiarity
with enterprise management technology for Windows and Macintosh platforms - Familiarity with Active Directory and
Exchange. - Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and support of wireless technologies.
- Practical knowledge writing in
one or more programming languages for multi-use/multi-tasking environments. - Strong verbal and written communication skills
sufficient to interact with a variety of users and other technical staff. - Strong customer service
skills.
Preferred Qualifications
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows & Office
- Macintosh support
experience - Strong Customer Service Skills
- Ability to lift and maneuver 75 pounds
Anticipated Hiring
Range
Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $14.51 – $19.92 per hour
