Job Description
John Cabot University, an accredited American liberal arts university in Rome, Italy, invites applications for an open-rank (assistant or associate) full-time tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics and Statistics.
We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in Mathematics or in Statistics, or in a closely related quantitative area, demonstrated excellence in teaching and research, and commitment to academic service. Familiarity and experience with the American liberal arts educational tradition will be considered an advantage.
The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of tenure. Candidates should be fluent in English, which is the language of instruction, and have permission to work in the European Union.
The successful candidate will be expected to start in Fall semester 2024. They will be expected to teach three courses per semester at various undergraduate levels in Mathematics and/or Statistics, to contribute to curriculum development, to undertake research, and to be an active member of the Department and University community.
