The College
The University of West London houses the London College of Music, which is renowned for cultivating outstanding creative, business, and service professionals.
The Role
This role forms a crucial part of the London College of Music Theatre Technical teams which is responsible for live event technical support. The role requires firm commitment throughout the theatre production cycle, with assignment to different production roles as required by the department. This may cover a range of responsibilities such as Stage Management, Sound Design, Sound Engineering, and Sound, Lighting or AV operation.
The post is responsible for operation, organisation, and maintenance of theatre technical systems for LCM productions and events at internal and external venues as required.
The role is based upon a 35-hour working week from Monday – Friday, however flexible working hours are required, often during evenings and weekends with any additional hours worked recuperated as time off in lieu.
The Person
We are looking for talented technicians who have experience working as part of a technical team during installation, rehearsal, and delivery of event production. Specifically experience with basic lighting, sound, and theatre AV systems.
Individuals should have practical experience in scenic construction, knowledge and experience of relevant health and safety standards for theatre production and possess good verbal and written communication skills
