JOB SUMMARY

A video editor is a professional, who is skilled at editing, and crafting compelling narratives by expertly assembling and refining footage. He/She will collaborate with creative teams, including directors and producers, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality videos that exceed project expectations. Proficiency in video editing software, exceptional storytelling abilities, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Edit and assemble footage to create cohesive and engaging videos
  • Work with directors and producers to understand project vision and goals
  •  Select and sequence footage to create a narrative or visual flow
  • Add music, sound effects, and graphics to enhance the video
  • Color correction and grading to ensure consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the project meets deadlines and expectations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and software developments

REQUIREMENTS

  •  Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience in a related field
  •  Proficiency in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
  •  Strong storytelling and visual skills
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  •  Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
