Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for a
Web Content Specialist. The Web Content Specialist will primarily work as part of Web Team and Content Team within SUNY Brockport’s Office
of University Communications. This individual will assist Web Team with website production and maintenance as it relates to content,
regularly meet with faculty, staff, and administration across campus in an effort to enhance their web presence and bolster student
recruitment and marketing efforts. The Web Content Specialist will also work alongside Content Team to effectively tell the University’s
story by generating written stories that will appear in a number of different venues, including the web, social media, and email
newsletters.

The Web Content Specialist will also be the lead editor of news stories submitted to the Daily Eagle, the University’s
faculty and staff e-newsletter. This position will manage the overall quality and posting of news stories within this publication, and will
also co-manage the Daily Eagle email account, ensuring that campus partners receive timely and efficient communication. The Web Content
Specialist will also help curate new stories on high-level webpages across Brockport.edu, including the University’s news site and other key
pages.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree by time of appointment from a college or university
    accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Minimum one-year experience
    in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Media.
  • Understanding of website content management systems.
  • Superior
    written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple projects.

Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Understanding of website content management systems.
  • Familiarity with web content best practices
    and accessibility guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) Style.
  • Higher education experience.
  • Basic
    knowledge of HTML

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm
Salary and Benefits: The
Minimum Salary for this position is $54,822.
