Duties and Responsibilities
Auburn University at Montgomery
(AUM) is seeking a Marketing & Fan Experience Coordinator to develop, plan, implement and execute a marketing and fan experience plan for
home athletic events and additional special athletic events to enhance fans, student-athletes, students, alumni, donors and community
members experience.
The Marketing & Fan Experience Coordinator will report to the Assistant Athletics Director for
External Relations and will assist in all aspects of the department, including, but not limited to, all home athletic events, all athletic
department special events such as Hoops Madness, Student-Athlete Orientation, Homecoming, Warhawks Choice Awards, Senior Breakfast, etc. The
ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, hyper-organized, innovative events coordinator who has experience producing compelling fan
experiences that drive engagement and align with key business goals. In addition, the candidate selected will be responsible for the
following:
- Coordinate all pre-game, in-game and post-game promotions for home contests
- Maintain a close working
relationship with the Office of Student Affairs, Student Involvement, University Marketing, University Communications, AUM Bookstore and
Conference Services, as well as other university units to conceptualize and develop fan-centric experiences & events that build the AUM
brand, expand and reach new fans and increase engagement with existing fan base - Assist with a variety of hospitality, public
relations and event management: sourcing and contracting vendors, building entertainment sources and drafting game
scripts - Coordinate with Sports Information to develop and distribute promotional content, including design of game day and special
event promotional graphics for campus distribution, social media, and billboards - Assist with the management of all elements of
entertainment events; including concept development, floor plan oversight, internal coordination, vendor acquisition and management, event
execution and reconciliation - Prepare and manage vendor contracts, payments and staffing plans
- Support on-site execution and
operations on event day and gameday to include game day event set-up for all sports - Hire, schedule and oversee student- workers,
interns and part-time gameday personnel
Examples of special events to be coordinated include, but are not limited to: Faculty
& Staff Appreciation, AUM Student Giveaway Days, Residence Rumble, Warhawk Spotlight Games, Hoops Madness, etc. Assist with coordination,
implementation and tracking of community outreach initiatives.

attitude, enthusiastic about contributing to the success of AUM - Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work under tight
deadlines - Capable of working under pressure
- Must be able to communicate clear and concise directions
- Team player
willing to work with all departments and staff - Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work event nights,
weekends and holidays as required - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution
- Knowledge and commitment to rules
and regulations set forth by the NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference - Valid driver’s license
- Continued employment
is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
