Description du poste Description Position at ISP Europe Chief Payroll Accountant – Charles Péguy Purpose of Role The Chief Payroll Accountant is responsible for managing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of the school ‘s financial records. This role involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing cash flow, handling payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The Chief Payroll Accountant will work closely with the Finance Director and HR department to support business planning and financial management. Key Responsibilities Accounting and Financial Reporting: Oversee the update and maintenance of the company’s chart of accounts and general ledger. Develop and implement effective financial and management information reporting systems and processes. Ensure accounting records comply with company policies, recommended accounting standards, and related principles. Prepare necessary financial and accounting schedules and analysis for management. Ensure timely and accurate preparation, presentation, and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain accurate accounting of all financial transactions and proper books of accounts. Perform centralized controls to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of financial information. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely clearance of reconciling items. Update and monitor cash forecasts and generate monthly reports of cash payments and forecasts. Prepare and reconcile inter-company transactions and monthly reconciliation between commercial systems and accounting system . Control Fixed Assets processes, maintain bookings, handle write-off transactions, and report asset life cycles. Cash and Bank Management: Handle day-to-day operations of the company’s bank accounts, ensuring efficiency and appropriate utilization. Ensure accounting books and records are updated timely to reflect all cash and bank transactions. Record cash flow and verify against negotiated bank conditions. Ensure that all operations paid through cash ( espece ) are booked. Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax filings (CIT, WHT, VAT, IR) for review and validation. Ensure the company observes applicable tax regulations and timely preparation of tax returns. Prepare social monthly, quarterly, and annual tax and social declarations (CNSS, AMO). Budgeting and Business Planning: Assist the Finance Director in completing the annual budget and business planning process. Monitor actual performance against approved budgets and business plans, investigating and reporting significant variances. Assist the HR department in the preparation of the budget and forecast. Payroll and HR Liaison: Liaise with the HR department to reflect HR commitments in company accounts. Check and control payroll inputs (attendance sheets) and prepare monthly payroll. Assist the Finance Director in managing relationships with authorities (social organisms, tax administration). Additional Responsibilities: Initiate recommendations to enhance the accounting system and improve financial reporting. Perform any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time. Skills, Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting , Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Strong knowledge of accounting and controlling principles, standards, and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills , well organized and able to prioritize tasks . Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. ISP Principles Begin with our children and students.
