As a Financial Analyst in our team, you will be responsible for conducting Value for Money (Performance) audits of various City of Kelowna programs and services. You will apply your analytical and research skills to assess the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of the City’s operations and provide recommendations for improvement. You will also communicate your findings and insights in clear and concise reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) Designation
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience with a minimum of two (2) years at the Accountant level of experience or higher
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in internal or external audit
  • Knowledge of audit standards, methodologies, and best practices
  • People Management
  • Responsibility/Accountability
  • Computer Literacy

This is a CUPE bargaining unit position with an hourly rate starting at $50.66 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holidays. The position has a confirmed term of 24 months, with the possibility of extension.
