Tim Hortons based in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Counterperson – food services. Shifts: Weekend, Early Morning, 04:00 to 12:00
Transportation information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional oven, Electronic cash register, and Grill

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, capable of performing repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency, and able to stand for extended periods during work shifts
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of their work and be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) safely and effectively

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and service delivery, demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills in communication, and be reliable in fulfilling their duties and meeting commitments
  • The candidates should work well as part of a team, contributing positively to group dynamics, have the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic work environment, and show initiative in problem-solving and task completion
  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, consistently meeting deadlines and expectations, and maintain a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and load buspans and trays
  • The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, place dishes in the storage area, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • The candidates should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, keep records of the quantities of food used, and package take-out food
  • The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • The candidates should be able to stock refrigerators and salad bars, take customers’ orders, and clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, remove kitchen garbage and trash, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
