Revionics is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a best-in-class online and written communication experience to our internal and external users and customers.

If you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, and love working on complex user and technical challenges, you should apply.

  • Quickly become an expert in assigned products through active participation in planning, design, and team meetings, hands-on product usage, and in-depth interviews of subject matter experts.
  • Plan, create, and maintain thorough, accurate, and concise end-user documentation (online help, user guides, release notes, training and other materials) that simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences using clear language and visuals.
  • Create and maintain technical reference documentation (configuration guides, technical release notes, process and procedure guides, system requirements) that empower internal team members to expertly support our customers.
  • Perform ad hoc product testing and UI text reviews while researching and documenting new features; log bugs and make suggestions for embedded messaging that delivers help at the point of need.
  • Create and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and manage the content source control system.
  • Manage localization and translation of UI text and documentation.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet all deliverable deadlines.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related subject, with emphasis on writing and communication skills.
  • Senior level technical communicator with 7+ years’ experience with steadily increasing responsibilities, encompassing both online and print mediums, in the software development industry (big plus if retail related).
  • Portfolio of writing samples demonstrating professional writing ability; technical content a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), preferably in an Agile and SaaS environment, and the use of enterprise-level collaboration, version control, and bug/case tracking software and procedures.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn complex product features from requirements and design documents, self-exploration of product, and SME interviews, and then synthesize succinct but thorough customer documentation.
  • Expertise using conditional tagging and CSS variations to create multiple outputs (WebHelp, Word, PDF) from a single-source, XML-based authoring tool such as MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Power Point, Excel).
  • Knowledge and experience in Web applications, HTML, XML, CSS, and Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Skilled in image capture, cropping, and placement using Snag It or similar tools.
  • Strong investigative/research/interview orientation and skills.
