Requirements:

- The candidates should possess significant experience giving advice and recommendations to clients, management, or stakeholders regarding the interpretation of legislation, regulations, or policies
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to create vision and strategy, mobilize people, uphold integrity and respect, collaborate with partners and stakeholders, promote innovation and guide change, and achieve results
- The candidates should hold a diploma from a post-secondary educational institution in a field related to the position (including administration, paralegal studies, criminology, law, or any other relevant field)
- The candidates should have experience working in the criminal justice field and in a judicial or administrative tribunal and have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to work within a regional office and supervise a multidisciplinary team of hearing officers, case review officers, and case review assistants
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and supervise the Parole Board of Canada’s (PBC’s) Conditional Release Programs (CRP) and provide advice and expertise to Board members (named by Governor in Council), the Regional Director General (RDG), regional senior managers, staff, National Office staff, Correctional Service Canada (CSC), Criminal Justice System partners, offenders, and the public
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and supervise the completion of file and panel reviews, including the preparation, maintenance, and processing of case-related information, entry and extraction of data/information using the Integrated Decision System (IDS), verifying information, obtaining missing documentation, coordinating working documents used by Board members, ensuring procedural safeguards are completed, and recording of reviews and panel decisions, while ensuring legislative timeframes are met
